Peak December through April — dry, warm, lowest hurricane risk. Shoulder (May–June, November) offers lower rates with mostly good weather. Hurricane season officially runs June through November; September and October carry the most risk.
For most islands, yes. Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands are U.S. territories and only require a government-issued ID for U.S. citizens. For international destinations, your passport should be valid at least six months beyond your travel dates.
